My Story

Why I started Nashmia's Footprint

"I wanted to help children who don't have as much as I do, and to inspire other people to help too."

Hey, I'm Nashmia. Some kids don't have shoes to walk to school, a bag to carry their books, or a family with enough to provide for themselves, let alone the rest of their family.

As someone who has been blessed with many privileges and raised in Dubai, yet still extremely close to my roots in Pakistan, I was able to see through others' eyes and imagine an alternate life from a different perspective.

The footprints we've left so far

Here are some of the steps Nashmia's Footprint has already taken to help children.

Helping Asma Homes

I supported Asma Homes, a children's shelter in Pakistan, so kids there could get the things they need.

Three donation drives

I organised three donation drives to collect gifts for orphans and children who need a helping hand.

Shoes, books, bags & more

Together we gave shoes, workbooks, school bags and stationery, so children can walk to school and keep learning.

The journey keeps going

This is only the beginning. With more helpers, Nashmia's Footprint can reach even more children.

Here's what you can do. Take a look around your home for shoes you have grown out of, or school supplies you no longer need, and set them aside instead of letting them go to waste.
